bilgiye

Bilgiye is the dative form of the Turkish noun bilgi, which means knowledge or information. In Turkish grammar, the dative case marks direction toward something, the recipient of an action, or the basis on which an action is taken. Bilgiye therefore means “to knowledge” or “to information,” depending on the verb used with it.

Etymology and morphology: bilgi is formed from the verb root bil- (to know) with the noun-forming suffix

Usage and semantics: Bilgiye appears in constructions where the action is directed toward knowledge or information,

Examples:

- Görüşünü bilgiye dayandırdı. (He based his opinion on knowledge.)

- Bilgiye erişim sağlandı. (Access to information was provided.)

- Bilgiye güvenmek önemlidir. (It is important to rely on knowledge.)

Notes: Bilgiye is distinct from bilgiyi (the accusative form, meaning “knowledge” as a direct object) and from
