Teletubby
Teletubbies is a British preschool television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport for the BBC. The show's central characters are four Teletubbies, named Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po, who live in Teletubbyland. Their world is characterized by rolling green hills, whimsical flowers, and a television-like screen embedded in their bellies which shows short, child-friendly films. The Teletubbies communicate through a combination of babbling speech, gestures, and their characteristic tummy screens. A recurring feature of the show is the presence of the Noo-Noo, a vacuum cleaner-like creature that cleans up messes. The Sun Baby, a smiling infant in the sun, serves as the announcer and narrator for the program. The series aims to entertain and educate very young children through its repetitive nature, bright colors, and simple narratives. It originally aired from 1997 to 2001. A revival series, also titled Teletubbies, began airing in 2015. The show has been broadcast in over 120 countries and translated into 45 languages.
