Rientrate

Rientrate is the second-person plural present indicative and the second-person plural imperative form of the Italian verb rientrare, meaning to return, to re-enter, or to come back inside. The verb is formed from the prefix re- (again, back) attached to entrare (to enter), and it expresses the action of returning to a previous place or state.

In everyday Italian, rientrate is used when addressing more than one person to tell them to come back inside or to re-enter a place, for example: Rientrate subito. The same spelling serves both as the present indicative for voi (voi rientrate ora) and as the imperative (Rientrate!), a command without an explicit subject. The distinction is usually inferred from context and punctuation.

Grammatical notes: The full present tense of rientrare is io rientro, tu rientri, lui/lei rientra, noi rientriamo, voi rientrate, loro rientrano.
