Procesul

Procesul is the Romanian word that serves as the definite form of the noun proces. It is used to denote both a general sequence of actions leading to a result and a specific procedure or event. In everyday language it can refer to processes in science or industry (for example, un proces de fabricație) as well as to legal proceedings or lawsuits (un proces). The plural form is procese, and context usually clarifies whether one means a methodology or a legal matter.

In literature, Procesul is also the Romanian title of Franz Kafka’s novel The Trial (Der Process). Written
