Prawomocnych

Prawomocnych is the plural genitive form of the Polish adjective prawomocny, which in legal language means final and binding. The term is used to describe decisions or orders that have attained prawomocność, i.e., they are legally enforceable and no ordinary appeal remains possible.

In Polish law, prawomocność arises in civil, administrative, and criminal proceedings. A decision becomes prawomocny after the time for filing an ordinary appeal has lapsed, or after a higher instance has issued a final determination that leaves no further ordinary recourse. In some cases, a decision may be rendered prawomocny earlier if the court explicitly denies further remedies, or later if appeal procedures are interrupted or stayed.

The key consequence of a prawomocny decision is enforceability. Once prawomocność is reached, the parties are generally obligated to comply, and the decision can be subjected to enforcement actions. Exceptions exist when enforcement is temporarily suspended or when extraordinary remedies are available and pursued, which can suspend or delay the execution while grounds for such remedies are considered.
