Perdana

Perdana is a term in Malay and Indonesian that means first, premier, or primary. It is used both as a common adjective and as part of various proper nouns.

In Malaysia, the word appears prominently in government and public life. Perdana Menteri is the title of the Prime Minister. Perdana Putra is the name of the government complex in Putrajaya that houses the Prime Minister's Office; the building is commonly referred to simply as Perdana Putra. The Proton Perdana is a mid-size sedan produced by the national carmaker Proton; it is based on the Honda Accord platform and has been used as an official government vehicle.

Beyond government, Perdana is also used as a personal name in Malay-speaking communities, and appears in corporate and brand names to convey a sense of prestige or primacy.
