Novaria is a coastal city in the fictional nation of Valoria. Located on the eastern shore of Valoria's central coast, it serves as a regional commercial and educational hub. The city has historically depended on maritime trade, manufacturing, and services, and it hosts several research institutes and a university campus.

Novaria originated as a fishing village in the 12th century and attained city status by the 15th. It expanded with the development of a natural harbor and sea lanes, and its waterfronts were rebuilt after a major earthquake in 1883. The city today preserves a historic core alongside modern districts.

Geography and demographics: It covers about 85 square kilometers and is home to approximately 210,000 residents. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers, influenced by sea breezes.

Economy: The port handles cargo and passenger traffic, forming the backbone of the economy. The city hosts a technology park, light manufacturing, logistics firms, and a growing service sector. Novaria University and several research centers attract students and researchers.

Transport and infrastructure: A network of expressways, a central railway station, and a port connect Novaria to inland regions. The city operates an inner-city tram system and expanded bus routes, complemented by cycling lanes along major avenues.

Government and culture: The city is governed by a mayor and a 20-member council. The Old Town preserves historic architecture, while cultural venues such as the Harbor Museum and the annual Harbor Festival reflect Novaria's maritime heritage.
