Nogizaka

Nogizaka is a district in Minato ward, Tokyo, Japan. It lies on the western edge of central Tokyo, bordered by Akasaka to the north and Aoyama to the south. The area is known for an upscale atmosphere, blending residential streets with boutique shops, cafes, and small businesses. Nogizaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line and the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line serves the district, providing access to central business districts and other parts of Tokyo.

The name Nogizaka is used for both the district and the station. The area features tree-lined avenues and a mix of modern apartment buildings and traditional townhouses. It is located within the broader Shibuya–Aoyama–Nogizaka corridor, near entertainment, diplomatic, and cultural facilities, contributing to a quiet yet central urban character.

Nogizaka46 is a Japanese female idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. Formed in 2011 as the first official sister group of AKB48, the group is named after the Nogizaka district. They debuted with a single that achieved commercial success and have since released numerous singles and albums, with members appearing in television, film, and other media.
