Kvadrantene
Kvadrantene, also known as the quadrants, is a concept in mathematics and geometry that refers to the four regions created by the intersection of the x-axis and y-axis on a two-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system. Each quadrant is defined by the signs of the x and y coordinates. The first quadrant (Q1) is where both x and y are positive, the second quadrant (Q2) is where x is negative and y is positive, the third quadrant (Q3) is where both x and y are negative, and the fourth quadrant (Q4) is where x is positive and y is negative. The quadrants are often used to describe the location of points, graph functions, and analyze trigonometric functions. The concept of quadrants is fundamental in various fields such as mathematics, physics, and engineering.
