Geofysici
Geofysici, or geophysicists, are scientists who study the physical properties of the Earth and other planetary bodies by applying physics-based methods. They investigate the interior structure of planets, gravity and magnetic fields, seismic waves, heat flow, and surface and near-surface processes. Their work supports natural resource exploration, environmental assessment, hazard mitigation, and scientific understanding of Earth systems.
Common subfields include seismology, geomagnetism, gravity and gravimetry, electrical and electromagnetic methods, radar and imaging techniques
Education typically requires a bachelor's degree in geophysics, geology, physics, or engineering; many positions require master's
Geophysics also extends to planetary science, with researchers studying the Moon, Mars, and other bodies using
