Genevan

Genevan is the English adjective and demonym associated with Geneva, a city in western Switzerland located at the western tip of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) near the French border. The term can refer to people from Geneva as well as to things connected with the city or its culture. The historic demonym Genevese is occasionally encountered in older English texts, but Genevan is the standard form today.

Geneva is the capital of the Canton of Geneva and an international hub. The city hosts the United Nations Office at Geneva and numerous other international organizations, including the World Trade Organization, the World Health Organization, the International Labour Organization, and the International Telecommunication Union. It has a long tradition in finance, science, and the arts, and played a central role in the 16th-century Genevan Reformation led by John Calvin.
