Europarekord

Europarekord, or European record, is the best performance recorded by an athlete from a European country in a given event or discipline, under the rules of the sport's governing bodies. The term is used by continental federations such as European Athletics for track and field and LEN for swimming, as well as by national federations when reporting results. A Europarekord is distinct from a world record, which represents the best performance worldwide, and from a national record, which is the best mark by a citizen of a single country.
