ERStudio

ER/Studio is a data modeling and metadata management tool used by database professionals to design, document, and govern database structures and data assets. It is developed by Idera, Inc., the company that acquired Embarcadero Technologies, and is used to support enterprise data architecture initiatives.

Key capabilities include the creation of logical and physical data models, entity-relationship diagrams, and reverse engineering of existing databases. It supports forward engineering to generate schema from models, model comparison to identify differences, and impact analysis to assess changes across dependent objects. ER/Studio also provides features for model tagging, documentation, and reporting to support modeling governance and traceability.

ER/Studio provides a centralized repository that enables multi-user collaboration, versioning, model lineage, and change tracking. It also offers metadata management features, including business glossaries, lineage visualization, and impact analysis reporting to support governance and compliance.
