Crozes-Hermitage is an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in the Northern Rhône Valley of France. The designation covers a broad area along the Rhône River, on both banks, and centers on the towns of Crozes-Hermitage and Tain-l'Hermitage. It is the largest AOC in the Northern Rhône by area and production, forming an important part of the region’s wine industry.
